Daisy E. White-Sproat

Age 79 passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 23, 1940 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Everett H. & Mabel R. (Spencer) Rose. Daisy touched many lives as a preschool teacher at Christian Life Center.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-father, Rudy; husband, Jerry Sr and son, Jerry Jr.; son-in-law, Jeff McGinnis; grandson, Joshua McGinnis; great-granddaughter, Miriam Lynn Piper and numerous siblings.

Daisy is survived by 3 daughters, Cathy (Jim) Koon, Diana (Tim) Neace and Kim McGinnis; 8 grandchildren, Amanda (Jerry), Christen (Kevin), Ashley (Brad), T.J. (Kassy), Jerry III, Dylan, Johnathan (Erin) and Jacob (Carly); 11 great-grandchildren, Joel, Alexa, Gabriel, Meredith, Jayden, Kaydence, Lydia, Payton, Paisley, Nova Lee and Levi; along with a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Steadfast faith and unyielding love for God was evident to all who knew her, Lord and family the core of her being. An extraordinary legacy left behind honors a loving memory. Putting others needs first she selflessly sacrificed with a giving heart and infinite love. Known by many titles in life, daughter, sister, wife, mother, nanny, auntie and friend – each one worn proudly. Blood did not define family, her love and acceptance of others nourishing a constantly budding family tree. An eccentric sense of humor, a treasured memory of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, she would perform on cue for a random giggle or dare, reward glistening in adoring brown eyes. Never will peanut butter fudge taste as sweet as when we recall her standing at the stove, patiently stirring for the perfect consistency only she could master. We will mourn for a time but rejoice in her celebrated memory forever.
