Anna Mae was born to Walter Scott Griffin and Dorothy (Dora) Mae Boone-Griffin in Jefferson Township, Mahaska County, Iowa on 04-12-1919. She and her sister, Helen Mildred Griffin (b: 07-31-1920), were taken to the Iowa Soldiers’ Orphans’ Home in Davenport, Iowa between 1922 and 1923. Anna Mae Griffin was adopted by Theodore Elmer Martin and Myrtle May Andrews Martin from the orphanage some time between 1923 and 1925. She lived with them in Sac City, Sac County, Iowa. Ann married Albert John Larson, Jr. on July 31, 1937 in the Saint Luke Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. They had three children: Alan Lee Larson, 1939-1953; Lana Marie Larson, 1941-2017; and Richard Bruce Larson, 1942-2020. Ann and Albert divorced in January 1944. Albert was married to Lorraine Clara Dusel and they had three children: Jacqueline, Mark, and John. He was married to Anna Louise Delaney Larson at the time of his death on December 5, 1972. Ann did not remarry. Ann’s sister, Helen, was adopted by Frank J. (F.J.) Schuldt and Esther Anna Schaefer-Schuldt who lived in Garner, Hancock County, Iowa. She lived with her adoptive parents until her marriage on 02-07-1959 to David Edward Orr in Redondo Beach, Los Angeles County, California. Helen Orr died 12-28-2005 Rialto, San Bernardino County, California. Her husband, David Orr, died 09-04-1980 Rialto, San Bernardino County, California.
