Caring for others was a lifelong passion of Sandy's. She was a nurse who helped the sick for over 40 years, and she loved caring for children no matter if they were her kids or not. Sandy also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and loved her flowers.
Surviving Sandy is her son, Calvin Bernard of Stanton; sisters, Fay (Gary) Denton of Dewitt; Amanda Jamer of Traverse City, and several nieces and nephews.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Loren & Sara (Santure) McLain; sister, Agnes Johnston; brother, Efford Bernard; niece, Celia Chopson and a nephew, Bert L. Johnston.
A celebration of Sandy's life is being planned for a later date. Sandy will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.
