Joseph Taylor Russell, age 56, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 04, 2020) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on August 19, 1963 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Herman and Pauline Jessie Russell .

He was a commercial painter for LVL Services, who enjoyed telling stories, fishing, hunting mushrooms, playing guitar and singing. He was a former member of the country quartet “Country Gold”, and an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Skees Russell of Falls of Rough, KY; a son, Taylor Russell (Brandy); two daughters, Hannah Tomes (Jared) and Shelby Board (Adrian) all of Leitchfield; a step-son, Jacob Farris; and a step-daughter, Jessica Farris, both of Louisville; a sister, Linda Russell also of Louisville; and a special aunt, Pearl. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Ernie Russell.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, (July 11, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses
