Nancy was born May 17, 1939, in Decatur, the daughter of Donell Evan and Sylvia Dora (Adams) Bechtel. A member of the Methodist faith, Nancy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. Part of her nursing career was spent in the Emergency Room at Decatur Memorial Hospital and some of her career was spent working in physician’s offices. She married E. Lee Hart on October 2, 1965 and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2003.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Ronald Bechtel and sisters: Donna McCabe and Sherilyn Moid.
Nancy is survived by her brothers: Gerald “Jerry” (Barbara) Bechtel and Dennis (Linda) Bechtel; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Thursday, July 9, 2020, in the Star of Hope Mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery; visitation will be one hour prior in the mausoleum. Entombment will follow services in the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 2116 W. South 3rd St, Shelbyville, IL, 62565. CDC Guidelines will be followed – Masks are required.
