William “Eddie” Edward Abbott, age 65, of Bristol, TN entered into heaven Sunday, July 5, 2020. He was born March 28, 1955, a lifelong resident of Bristol, and was the son of the late Paul and Allie Hawkins Abbott. He retired as a crew chief from the City of Bristol after 33 years of service. He was U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Phil and Ronnie Abbott. He is survived by his wife, Linda Kay Abbott; daughters, Angela Tester and husband Josh, Renee Church Woods, and Carla Houseright and husband Robert; sisters, Linda Rhymer, Brenda Wampler and husband Kenneth, Paula “Ann” LeDrew, Sharon Humphrey, Karen Hostetter; brothers, Dale Abbott and wife Rhonda, and Daryl Abbott; Seven grandchildren; Eight Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 5:00 pm, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Ball officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The family will be leaving in procession going to East Tennessee Cemetery at 2:15 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Military honors will be conducted by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard and the U.S. Air Force. Pallbearers will be Daniel Church, Jacob Miller, Michael Rhymer, Jonathan Fields, Mary Fields and Johnny Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Berry, Bill Robinson, Robert Houseright, Josh Tester, Ron Belcher, Max Kestner, Kenneth Wampler, and Blaine Wade.
