Paul Raymond Vines, 88, passed away at home on June 30, 2020. He was born on January 13, 1932, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the home of Ruby Seymour and Granddaddy Seymour.

He was a 21 year Army veteran. After the service, he went to college, earned his Ph.D. in Education, and taught ROTC at Kimball High School and Industrial Trades at Spruce High School. Paul was also a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner Clown named Jethro. "Jethro" participated in Shriner parades and the Shriner Circus every year. In his leisure time, he loved to travel with his grandchildren in his RV. He had owned an RV since 1974. He loved nature and the outdoors and shared this passion with his children and grandchildren. Paul was a great dad and grandfather and was loved by many. He loved to tell a good joke and be told a good joke. Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary; daughters Linda Topham and husband Mark and Pauletta McKay and husband Robert; three grandchildren Brent Thornton and wife Angie, Misty McPhail, and Mark Topham and wife Bonny; eight great-grandchildren Lee McPhail, Brendon McPhail, Lucas Topham, Lily Topham, Landry Topham, Miranda Vollman, Karen Vollman, and Laura Muras.

He is preceded in death by his mother; brother Don Vines; and sister Maxine Sprague.
