Funeral services for SMSGT Travis Tuberne McClure, age 73, of Winona were held December 20, 2002 at Oliver Funeral Chapel in Winona. Burial was held with full military honors at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona with Oliver Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McClure died December 18, 2002 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. He was a retired USAF Air Traffic Controller and retired Fire Chief for the City of Winona. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Winona; Winona Masonic Lodge #48 (Master Mason); Order of Eastern Star; Winona VFW; Winona American Legion; Miss. Law Enforcement Officer Association; Miss. Firefighters Association; Non-Commissioned Officers Association; and Lifetime member of Miss. Firefighters Memorial Burn Association. While in the Air Force, he served overseas in Japan, Germany, France, Spain and Puerto Rico.

Survivors include his wife, Drusilla Hood McClure; daughter, Debbie Thomas and husband, Ken of Columbus; son, Steven T. McClure and wife, Brenda of Florence; grandchildren, Jason McClure, Heather B. Jones and Ashley Burns; and great-grandchildren, Malisa McClure, Jason McClure, Jr. and Lincoln Jones.

Pallbearers were the Military Honor Guard from Columbus Air Force Base.
