Hazel A. Wright, daughter of Isaac and Gertrude Voss Howell was born August 14, 1896 in Cheyenne County, Kansas and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas on October 3, 1985 at the age of 89 years, 1 month, and 19 days.

She lived in Cheyenne County until 3 years old and north of Edmond. She attended the Edmond Rural Grade School and the Norton High School. On April 26, 1916 she married Steward Wright at Norton. They lived mostly in Norton County except for a few years they lived in Colorado.

She was a member of the Norton Church of God, W.C.G. of the Church of God, and she greatly enjoyed her handiwork.

Survivors include: her husband, Omar and his wife, Nina Wright, Norton, Kansas; Earl and his wife, Winona Wright, Indianapolis, Indiana; Wilma and her husband, Myron Bakewell, Stapleton, Nebraska; and Gerald Wright, Denver, Colorado; one daughter-in-law and her husband, Irene and Floyd McFarland, Norton, Kansas; one brother, John Howell, Salina, Kansas; one sister, Eva Putman, Norton, Kansas; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, one son, one son-in-law and two daughters-in-law.
