Danny George Snyder, age 79 passed away on Wednesday March 8, 2017.
Born in Bristol, Tennessee on January 6, 1938, he was the son of the late Ernest Snyder and Mary Jewell Snyder.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter Deloris Ann Snyder, Aunt Mid Sherman, Brother Phillip Snyder, & Sister Mona Smithson.
Danny retired from the Navy after serving his country for 24 years. His gift from God was to love others unconditionally; he dedicated his life to serving many who struggled, and never gave up on them. He was unselfish, a role model to be emulated in how others are to be treated his joy for living was witnessed by many.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday March12, 2017 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home 1052 South First St (route 58) Nashville, NC. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday 1:00 PM preceding the funeral.
Burial will take place on Monday in Norfolk, Virginia. Preceding the burial a service will be held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 288 E. Little Creek Rd., Norfolk, VA 23505.
