WILLIAM (SPUD) CORNETT- AGE 52
William went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 1, 2020. William was born on May 25, 1968 to Vernon Cornett and Stephanie Simmons.
He worked most of his life in the oil field but was a pretty good mechanic as well. He liked to hunt and fish, loved racing and hanging out with his family and friends. He loved football, and was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He never met a stranger and made all of his friends- FAMILY.
William is preceded in death by: His father, Vernon Cornett; and his grandparents, Steve and Opal Fesperman.
William is survived by his mother, Stephanie Simmons; his children Josh Barnett and Whitney Barnett; his grandchildren Xiana, Eviana, Lynnix and Daniel; his brothers Steve Cornett, James Cornett, Sonny Dooley, and Dustie Large; sisters, Raney Ogden and Paula Large.
He will be greatly missed by many other family members and friends who loved him deeply.
There will be a public viewing all day to come and go on Friday July 3, 2020. Visiting hours are from 9am to 5pm at Shaffer Funeral Home located at 1939 Sherwood Way, San Angelo, Texas 76901.
