Evelyn A. Yates, 93, of Elkville, passed away at 6:06 A.M., Saturday, July 4, 2020 at her residence.
She was born June 19, 1927 at Elkville, IL the daughter of Charles Darcy and Bessie Maude (Bradley) Burroughs.
Evelyn married Albert Jean Yates on February 21, 1947 at Elkville, IL, and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2014.
She is survived by six children - Carla of Elkville, A. Yates and wife B. of Elkville, Alice of Florida, M. Yates and wife L. of Elkville, W. Yates and wife K. of Elkville and Elaine of Carbondale, fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great child on the way.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers - Harmon and Carl Burroughs and one sister - Clara Belle Swann.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Elkville Christian Church.
Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
Phase Four Restore allows for the use of social distancing guidelines.
Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery.
