Richard was born in Meriden on April 8, 1961, son of the late Richard Gamble Sr. and Joan (Willette) Gamble. He ran Richard Gamble & Son in Wolcott for many years, and recently retired from the city of Waterbury. He loved drag racing and working on cars in his spare time.
Including his wife, Alicia, Richie leaves behind his three children, Jessica Gaudiosi and her husband Jeremy, and Stephanie King and her husband Andrew, both of Wolcott, and Richard Gamble III and his wife Shannon, of Bristol; his five sisters, Christine Capolupo and her husband John, Diane Madden and her husband Mark, Leeann Galullo and her husband Richard, Arlene SantaMaria and her husband Joseph, and Deborah Dunne and her significant other, Gary Membrino; his seven grandchildren, Aubrey, Brayden, Andrew, Evalyn, Peyton, Kaylee and Raena; many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins, extended family and friends.
A calling hour will be on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road, Wolcott. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Due to restrictions on gatherings, you are kindly asked to leave after paying your respects to allow the next group to enter.
