Joe K. Riggs Sr., age 53 of LaFollette passed away Aug. 9 at his home. He was a wonderful husband and father who could never do enough for those he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henderson and Frances Bolinger
Riggs; sister, Teresa Bramblett; nephew, Little Danny Oneal Hill. He is survived by his wife, Marie Riggs of LaFollette; sons, Joe Riggs II and Jenn of Sacramento, CA, Ethan Colby Riggs of LaFollette; daughters, Heather Riggs and fiance, Dave Bernhardt of Sitka, Alaska, Amanda and Fred Anderson of Duff; grandchildren, Olivia and Little Fred Anderson, Kendall Allen Bernhardt; one brother; sisters, Brenda Riggs and husband, Danny Marlow of Stinking Creek; special uncle, Lee Riggs and wife, Sharon of MI; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Aug. 11 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with the Rev. Acie Jones and Rev. James Leach officiating. Interment was in the Powell Valley Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
