Funeral services for Mrs. Cheryl Ellen Poole will be held 10:00 AM Monday,
June 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Jena, La. with
Rev. Tommy Rushing officiating.
Interment will follow in the Wilbanks cemetery
in Summerville, La. under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
The family request that visitation be observed from 4pm to 7pm on Sunday, June 18, 2017 and from 8am until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Poole, 78, of Natchitoches, La. was born on November 5, 1938 in Olla, La. to the union of her parents, Arthur and Ruth Dollar and went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in Shreveport, La.
Mrs. Poole was a member of First Baptist Church of Natchitoches, La. and many clubs, such as the Wild Flower Society of Natchitoches, Red Hat Society and Eastern Star of Jena, La. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was an accountant and she obtained her Accounting and Business degree from Louisiana Business College. She enjoyed many
years as the assisstant Manager of Gulfco Finance Company and also enjoyed traveling, Rving and Square dancing.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jeffrey Lane Willis of Southlake, TX and Jack Scott of Chehalis, Washington; step-children, Pam and Ralph Davis, Larry, Jeffrey, Gary and Cindy Poole and grandson, Daniel Willis of Wichita, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Milton Vannah Poole, brother, Duval Dollar and sister, Sandra Joy Vestal.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chance Willis, Lyle Ganey, Cale Willis, Jeffrey Black, Darrel McCartney and Keith Mayo.
