Christopher Carl Nelson of Pottsboro, Texas passed away on May 12, 2018 at the age of 79. He was born on June 7, 1938 to Christopher Lynch and Mary Virginia (Coker) Nelson in Durant, Oklahoma. Christopher married Alice Marlene Kersting on January 12, 1963 in Durant, Oklahoma. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Christopher is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marlene Nelson of Pottsboro, Texas; sons, Steve Nelson and wife, LaNell of Wylie, Texas, David Nelson and wife, Laurie of McKinney, Texas, Todd Nelson and wife, Amy of Plano, Texas; brother, John Nelson of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Kay Adams of Safford, Arizona; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; aunt, Carol Jenks of Jasper, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Linda Jackson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Inurnment will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas.
