Frances Mae Dickson, 97, formerly of Jefferson St., Meadville, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

On June 24, 1950 Frances married Will Dickson; he preceded her in death on November 17, 2012.

From a very young age, Frances was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for more than 35 years and was a member of the choir for more than 25 years. Her alto voice rang throughout the church she so dearly loved. Her love of music and singing brought joy and happiness to her life.

She had also been employed by the former Keystone Ordnance of Meadville and the former Atlas Arsenal of Ravena, OH during WWII. Frances loved people and will be most remembered for her sensitivity of spirit to the needs of others. Her hands were always extended to give.

Frances is survived by a step son Fredrick Dickson, grandson Gary Manning of Meadville, 13 great grandchildren, a step sister Bernice, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Having been preceded in death by her daughter Deidra Dickson, Matriarch Frances Dickson was the last of 14 siblings to include eight brothers Arthur, Marion, Joseph, James, Ronnie, Sylvester, Robert and Joe along with five sisters Willie Eva Chennault, Rose Wilson, Inez Vankirk, Annie Walker, and Bonita Deans.
