It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Corma Wright Evans announces her passing. Corma passed away peacefully July 1, 2020, due to natural causes at the age of 84. She was born September 9, 1935, in Hinckley, Utah, to Ivan Morris Wright and Hilda Castina Christensen. She married Earl Dean Evans on October 30, 1958, in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Corma lived much of her married life in Dillon, Montana, where Dean was a dentist. She was a very loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched. For many years she was a lunch worker at the local elementary school. She and Dean moved to Springville, Utah, in 1991 after his retirement. She loved to cook and bake and kept an immaculate house. Her plates of cookies and baked goods were well known by her friends and those in her neighborhood. She was highly skilled in quilting and loved to crotchet. Her hands were rarely still. She also enjoyed her regular outings with her sister Lola Farnsworth.

Most of all, Corma loved her family and instilled in her sons, daughters, and grandchildren strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Corma practiced the true gospel of our Savior by serving anyone whom she could help. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served with the youth of the Church for many years. She was a wonderful teacher not only in word but also in deed; her life was a living example of Matthew 25:40: “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Corma is survived by her sister Lola Farnsworth; sister-in-law, Sharleen Wright; her six children and their spouses; Karen Corona, Lissa (Douglas) Moore, Deneen (Don) Tenney, Morris (Martha) Evans, Gregory (Melanie) Evans, and Lyle (Chemain) Evans; grandchildren: S J Corona, Yolandee Corona, Adam Corona, Christopher Corona, Courtney Corona, Kelsie Moore, Curtis Moore, Jesse Corma Shirley Moore, Darci Bassett, Dylan Tenney, Devon Tenney, Logan Evans, Keaton Rowley, Kassidy Barragan, Joshua Evans, Kobey Evans, Kari Evans, Landon Evans, Layton Evans, Lloyd Evans, Kaylie Evans, and Bryson Evans; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sister Verla Williams and her brothers Ivan, Boyd, Lawrence, and Jay Wright; and her granddaughter Aubree Corona.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., at Wheeler Mortuary in Springville, Utah. A private family viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020. The funeral will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. and will be livestreamed on facebook.com/wheelermortuary. Due to COVID-19, attendance at the services will be by invitation only. For all events, social distancing will be adhered to and masks are strongly encouraged to be worn by all attendees. The family wishes to thank all of Corma’s friends for their understanding and appreciates that they will join with the family to honor Corma through the livestreamed funeral service.
