Ms. Jo Ann Williams was born May 9, 1955 in Pascagoula, MS and transitioned to her eternal spiritual life on Friday, June 26, 2020 in Franklin County, Mississippi.
Ms. Williams was a Certified Nursing Assistant until her medical retirement. She was truly treasured by the facility staff and patients that she devotedly attended to. One of her proudest accomplishments were her grandchildren as she dedicated her life to ensuring they were taken care by giving them everything that she could. She will be most remembered for her acts of kindness and generosity as a loving mother, caring grandmother, adoring aunt and friend.
Jo Ann accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Union Baptist Church in Pascagoula, MS.
She was preceded in death by her father Tommy Pilkington, Sr., mother Elma Lee Pilkington, brother Tommy Earl Pilkington, Jr., sister Carolyn (Pilkington) Nash-Jones, sister Regina (Pilkington) Watts, and daughter Ava Shavon Williams.
Jo Ann leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters, Robin L. Williams and Tawanna (Andrew) Scott; nine grandchildren: Tavian Sims, Julian Williams, Makaela Scott, Taniya Deflanders, Cameron Deflanders, Jalen Williams-Deflanders, Justin Williams, Christian Williams, and Malaysia Williams; two great grandchildren; one special devoted niece Keisha Pilkington and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A PRIVATE MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN MS. WILLIAMS HONOR.
