Sherry A. Powell, 72, of Boonville, IN went to be with the Lord July 2, 2020. She was born on November 2, 1947 in Owensville, IN to the late Percy Paul and Mary (Johnson) McLean.

Sherry was an Owensville High School graduate. She worked for the VFW and Princeton Country Club as a Bartender. Sherry loved meeting new people and never knew a stranger. She enjoyed talking and was known to talk your ear off. Sherry liked taking trips to the beauty shop. She was an avid reader and could finish a book everyday. Sherry loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and always seemed to know the answers. She was known to be a great cook. Some of her best dishes are chicken and dumplings, Oyster dressing, and yeast rolls. Sherry always enjoyed talking to God on a regular basis. She was a member of the VFW. Sherry will be missed by so many!

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Donnie McLean, Billie McLean, Mike McLean, Pat McLean, June Hoadly, Ralph McLean, Joy Hunt, and Edward McLean.

Sherry is survived by her children Shannon (Darryl) Terry and Tracy (Sean) Morgan; grandchildren Cody, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Dalton, and Matthew; great grandchildren Isaiah, Jesse, Conner, Kaydence, Maya, Maliah, and Maeze; sister Joann Davis; and sister-in-law Carol McLean.

Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Sherry. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday July 8, 2020 at Holder's Funeral Home. Graveside will follow at 3 p.m in Owensville Cemetery. Published in Courier Press from July 2, to July 6, 2020.
