Fred proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War where he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Battle Stars. After being discharged from active service Fred continued his education at Penn State University graduating in 1958.
Fred was employed for over 30 years by Acme Markets retiring as Director of Accounts Payable and Receivable. He was a member of the Living Word Community Church of Red Lion, PA.
Fred was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and all Penn State athletics. He was a Penn State Football season ticket holder for 30 years.
He is survived by three daughters; Cheryl Mack, wife of Richard, of Downingtown, Joan Rementer of West Chester, and Carol Naugle, wife of Paul, of Dallastown and six grandchildren, Bryan, Parker, Rachael, Cooper, Elijah and Eliana. He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Edward Rementer and one sister Ethel Collier.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, 2237 Strasburg Road, Coatesville, PA 19320. Please note, if you plan on attending the services, all social distancing must be practiced including the wearing of face masks.
