Leon R. Allen, of White Lake, died Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 87 years old.

He was born September 25, 1929, son of the late Carl and Ellen Mary Allen. He married Rose Budd on March 21, 1953 at Hope Presbyterian Church in White Lake. She survives.

Mr. Allen served in the US Army from 1948-1952, and was stationed in Korea, Japan, Philippines, and Guam. He was employed at Robbins Flooring Mill for 38 years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, woodworking, and watching the Brewers, Badgers, and Packers.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Eugene of White Lake, James (Janet) of Abrams, WI, Linda (Randy) Ducsay of Marshfield, Dan (Liz) of Little Suamico, WI; a daughter; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil of Bristol, RI; and Walter (Val) of West Allis, WI; and a sister, Lucille Quist of Sheboygan, WI.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers; a sister; and a granddaughter.

Inurnment will take place in Langlade Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, with military honors provided by local veterans. A memorial service will be held in the upcoming summer.
