Deborah Kay Belcher, 69, of Orange, passed away Sunday, June 28th at her home in Orange, Texas.

Born in Port Arthur Texas, on February 28th, 1951, she was the daughter of Ray and Hazel Livingston. She loved to read, cook, watch her beloved Cowboys, spend time with family and friends, and trying to convince everyone to become a Republican. Debbie was a wonderful mother, aunt, Memaw, sister and friend. Known for her brutal honesty, Debbie never shied away from giving her opinion on any subject even if she was not asked for it. Her final remarks were her desires to be with her mother, daughter, best friend Barbara, and her savior, Jesus Christ.

Debbie was preceded in death by her daughter Terri Lynn Newton, and siblings Sue Marks, Bubba Livingston, and Gary Livingston, and dear friend Barbara Johnson.

Debbie is survived by Jerry Belcher, her husband of 53 years, Jerry Belcher; sisters-in-law Glenda Belcher, Sharon Belcher, and Linda Stone; step-son Donnie Steffens and his wife Maura; daughters Dana Hamilton, and Melissa Peveto and her husband Casey; Siblings Jimmy Dale Livingston, Ruth Burnett and her husband Barney, and Edward Ray Livingston; Grandchildren include Blake Hamilton Jr., Kristen Steffens, Derek Hamilton, Krystal Peveto, Cody Newton, Chandler Peveto, Megan Peveto, Gabby Hamilton, and five Great Grandchildren; Special life-long friends to Debbie are Trudy Teal, Nancy Hickman, and nieces Tonya Melancon, Amanda Champagne, and Regina Morphew. “Mama Belcher” was a second mom to many especially to Bonnie Smith and Jennifer, Heather and Jessica Hickman.

Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home and a private service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the President Trump Re-Election Campaign, for that is what she would have wanted.
