William Howard Hatfield, 72, of Cynthiana died Wednesday, Oct 27, 1999 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

Hatfield was born August 14, 1927, in Robertson Co. Ky a son of the late Joseph and Louisa Workman Hatfield.

He was a member of the Cynthiana Christian Church where he served as a deacon, he was a farmer, carpeter and an honorably discharged Army veteran having served in WW II.

His son Louis Shawn Hartfield and brother Herman Hatfield preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Betty Irvin Hatfield; three sons William Howard "Billy" Hatfield, Jr., Myron Reginald Hatfield and Randy Griggs Hatfield, all of Cynthiana; four brothers Marvin Hatfield, Newport, Harian Hatfield, Florence, Myron Hatfield, Hamilton, Ohio, Raymond Hatfield, Cynthiana; eight grandchildren, Troy Howard Hatfield, Terry Hatfield, Jon, Brandon and Josh Hatfield,
Lauren and Lesley Hatfield, and four great grandchildren Torri, Jacob, Rachel and Dylan Hatfield.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday Oct. 30, 1999 at the Whaley-McCarlty Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Larry W. Bishop.

Burial will be in the Battle Grove Cemetery.

Memorials suggested to the Cynthiana Christian Church building fund.

Pallbeaers: Troy, Terry, Jon, Brandon and Josh Hatfield, Scott Southworth.
