US Congressman. During World War I, he was a Captain in the Ordnance Division of the United States Army and ran a successful chain-store furniture business in Massachusetts. In 1924, he was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-eighth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of William S. Greene, serving until 1925. Not a candidate for renomination, he resumed his former business activities until his death.
