MacKENZIE, Helvi (Anderson) (nee Paananen) - In loving memory of Helvi MacKenzie, 92 years, of Pioneer Manor who passed away Thursday, May 10th, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Center. She was born in Copper Cliff. A longtime Lively resident, Helvi had been a Brown Owl with the Brownies in Whitefish and a member of the Penage Road Women's Institute. She had been a loyal member of TOPS ON #714, Lively. While living at 1 Coronation Blvd she was a daily neighbourhood walker. She was an excellent baker and a legendary pulla maker. She enjoyed knitting and her creations are treasured by all who received them. She will be remembered as a person who inspired others and the light of life will be cherished by her loving family and friends. Beloved wife of Jack Anderson and Stuart MacKenzie, both predeceased. Loving mother of Jean (husband John Dudar) of Sudbury, Richard Anderson predeceased (wife Julie of Sudbury), Karen (husband Stan Ojanpera) of Whitefish. Cherished grandmother of Daniel (Denise), Jack (Lynne), Robert, Timothy (Cindy), Dawn (Greg), Cheryl (Buzz), Lori (Jason), Christopher (Jodie), Kelly, Derek (Stacey) and great-grandchildren Alex, Carli, Hannah, Abbey, Jaime, Bradley, Kyle, Caitlyn, Malcolm, Emilia, Megan, Jakob, Tara and Jake. Dear daughter of Kuisti and Hilma (Ahlgren) Paananen predeceased. Dear sister of Oscar and Onnie both predeceased. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Monday, May 14th, 2007 at 1 p.m. Interment in the Park Lawn Cemetery.
