2006 obituary. NAPLES -- Marion L. Erskine, 80, of Roosevelt Trail, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at CMMC in Lewiston. She was born in Naples on Aug. 2, 1926, a daughter of Frank and May Bartlett. After graduating from Deering HIgh School, she worked at the American Can Company. On Aug. 28, 1948, she married Clayton C. Erskine, who died in 2003. Marion and Clayton lived in Florida for nearly 20 years prior to moving back to her hometown of Naples. Marion enjoyed cooking and gardening, while her grandchildren were her main interests. She loved them dearly. Marion was very active in Cub Scouts, Garden Club and church activities. For many years she was a binding force in the town of Naples and was loved by all she touched. She was predeceased by her husband; her son Rick; two sisters, Marge Dearborn and Barbara Hawkes; two brothers, Frank and Donald Bartlett; and two stepbrothers, Skip and Freeman Bartlett. Surviving are three sons; her sister Dorothy Stone; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at the Naples United Methodist Church.
