Fox died at his home at 8:30 a. m. Friday after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was born June 14, 1900, in Raleigh County, the son of the late Ranscelor and Rosa Scott Fox. He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church. A locomotive engineer with the C & O Railway with over 35 years of service, he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, Golda Smith Fox; one son, Jimmy of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Garland (Dorothy) Plumley, Beckley, and Mrs. Herman (Katherine)
Nicholas of Baltimore, Md., and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Carl and Everett Smith, Rheo and Robert Plumley, Johnny Kincaid, and Earl Smith.
The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call after 4 p. m. today.
