In 1958, Maurice met the love of his life, Elizabeth Scott. They were joined together in holy matrimony on February 22, 1962, and to this union 10 children were born.
Affectionately known as Milo, Maurice accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and honored him. He had such kind ways, and he loved helping others. He had a heart of gold and a genuine smile. He was a friend to everyone he met. He loved being outdoors, playing checkers, and spending time with his family and friends.
Maurice attended the public schools of Terrell County, Georgia. He was a man of many talents. He found his passion working with Reeves Construction Company where he worked for 23 years until his retirement.
On Friday, March 16, he departed his earthly life at Columbus Specialty Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Wanda Merchelle Jackson, seven siblings—Johnny Jackson, Clifford Jackson, Lucille Bogan, Jessie Pearl Hogan, Beatrice Johnson, Christine Buffin, and Annie Mae Livingston.
