Michael “Mike” Landers, 71, entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at U of L Hospital. He retired from Speed Cement Company after 40 years of service and served as Union President for 30 years. Mike drove a school bus for West Clark Schools for 11 years and was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church. His greatest passion in life was spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He loved his Alaskan adventures with family and was an avid Nascar and IU Basketball fan. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Belva Landers, brother, John Christensen and father-in-law, Eugene Burgan. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patty Landers, Sellersburg, son, John (Dana) Landers, Sellersburg, daughters, Missy (Jack) Slater, Sellersburg, Missy (Jeff) Timberlake, Alaska, Sara (Charles) Lacy, Sellersburg, brother, Jerry (Trudy) Landers, Memphis, thirteen grandchildren and one, great-grandchild that were his pride and joy. A Funeral Mass will be held 10AM Monday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Paul Campus) with entombment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
