Bert was well known for the food that she cooked and baked. She was also known as the cool cup lady.
Bert met and married the love of her life, Calburnia Jones, on July 23, 1960. To this union two kids were born, Toney and Theophilus Jones.
Bert is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Calburnia Jones.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Toney Kaye Jones of Port Arthur, TX and Theophilus Jones (Khadijah) of Houston, TX; Yolanda Reeves (niece/daughter); granddaughters, Madison MacKenzie Jones of Phoenix, AZ; step-grandchildren, Samia, Tyleek and Jaden Jones (Houston, TX); brother-in-law, Ben Jones, Jr. (Emma) of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
