Robert David Wooten, 80, of Winchester, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Robert was born November 14, 1939, to Albert Robert and Gussie Burns Wooten, in Rondo, Arkansas. He served two tours in Vietnam, first as a Scout Dog Handler with the 34th IPSD and later as a Cobra Gunship Helicopter Pilot. He was retired from the United States Army with the rank of W.O.II. He was a born again Christian and a member of Calvary Christian Church of Winchester, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gussie; four brothers, Grover, W.J., Leon and Wilber; four sisters, Mittie, Christine, Ruth and Annie. In addition, he was preceded in death by Judith A. Oswald Wooten, his first wife.

Survivors include his wife Judy L. Costello Wooten; four children, Dane and wife Laura, Charles David, Helen and husband Tim Raper and Gregory Scott Wooten; three step children, Lois and husband Richard Fugate, Manford Calvin and wife Vicki Costello and Christopher and wife Bea Costello; one sister-in-law, Darlene Wooten; 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
