WEST PEORIA -- Ruth E. Crossan, 87, of 2108 W. Laura died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 1993, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born April 6, 1906, in Smithshire to John W. and Nora B. Meeks Hook, she married Thead M. Herington on Sept. 22, 1925, in Lacon. He died Nov. 20, 1962. She later married Charles F. Crossan on April 5, 1969, in Peoria. He survives.
One son, Thead Herington Jr.; three grandsons; and four sisters preceded her in death.
She worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 25 years, retiring from the Morton plant in 1969. She was a member of West Bluff Christian Church.
She also was a member of Washington Eastern Star Lodge 115. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. The Rev. Charles R. Allen will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Graveside services will be Tuesday at Linn- Mount Vernon Cemetery in Washburn. The Rev. George Knox will officiate.
