Robert was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on 15 October 1941, to Glen B. Woolley and Collen (Kramer) Woolley. He was their only child.

Bob was a simple, humble, lovable, and quiet person. By trade, he was a very smart mathematician who worked as a civilian employee at Hill Air Force Base. Following his retirement, he worked as a tutor at the University of Utah and enjoyed helping so many students during his years there.

His favorite foods were meat, curry, pineapple chicken, donuts, strawberry smoothies, and coffee.

Bob loved taking a good walk every morning and watching TV with his neighbor every night. On weekends, he spent time with his grandkids and loved to pray every night before bedtime with his goddaughter and close friend, Tuyen Huynh.

Left to cherish his memory are Bob's children, Anna (Patrick) Wilder and Carl Baird; four grandsons, Andrew Baird, Edwin Baird, Kevin Baird, and Robert Baird; goddaughter, Thuy (Hieu) Nguyen Pham and two god-grandkids, Joshua Pham and Lydia Pham; along with his long-time close friend and neighbor, Orlinda Prettyman.
