Robert Lee Stanley (Man Grey Eagle) age 73 crossed over June 28, 2020 after a brief illness.

He was born September 1, 1946 in Bandy Virginia.

Robert was an enrolled member of the Over Hill Cherokee Nation of Decedents; He was also a member of the sons of the American Legion and National Federation of independent Businessmen. Robert enjoyed looking for ginseng, coin collecting, old cars, motorcycles and old movies. Robert was a spiritual man and a baptized Christian. He was a meek and humble person who taught those same qualities throughout his life. Robert was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents Samuel and Molly Bandy and Canova and Margret Stanley. His first wife Patricia Ann Merchant and his parents Edward and Helen Stanley.

Survivors include: Wife of 45 years Elizabeth Jane Stanley of Roanoke Virginia

Sister: Patricia Farr (Danny) of McDonald Tn

Children: Bobby Joe Stanley(Bruce) of Vinton Virginia, Tabitha Ann Sanders of Phenix City, Ala, Thomas Wayne Stanley (Maria) of Vienna, Va, Timothy Lee Stanley (Mellissa) of Roanoke, Va and Angelina Lynn Garcia (Jaime) of Roanoke, Va

Nine grandchildren: Ashley Pittman (Ben), Shauna , Sabrina and Michael Sanders, Mauricio Stanley(Stephanie), Steven Multog, Brian (Danielle) Garcia, Jamie Garcia (Kayla), Christopher Garcia(Caitlyn).

Family will receive friends Tuesday June 30, 2020 from 6-7 pm with services at 7 pm in the Buffalo freewill Baptist Church with Darrell Milgrim officiating.

Funeral services will be conducted Wed July 1, 2020 @ 11:00 am at Buffalo Freewill Baptist Church with Darrell Milgrim officiating. Burial will follow in the Yates Family Cemetery, Carter Stanley Hwy section Coeburn, Va.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers: Bobby Joe Stanley, Gene Mullins, Gene Moore and Danny Farr.
