PALACIOS - Peggy J. Murphy, age 80, met her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, July 23, 2017.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held Saturday August 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Palacios, TX, Reverend James Collins officiating.
Peggy was greeted by her parents, C.M. "Dick" Reitzell, Georgia Inez Reitzell Lemmons and husband Gene Lemmons, her brother Edwin Reitzell, brother-in-law Pirl Linton, brother-in-law Roy D "Dan" Chamblee, Jr., brother-in-law Mack McCoy, nephew Calvin McCoy, niece Belinda Brown and great niece, Kristina Fyffe.
Peggy is lovingly remembered by her husband Tommy Murphy, son Gary Stamper, granddaughter Kelly Meredith Stamper Gowdy, sisters Maloy "Wanda" Reitzell Chamblee and Mackie Sue Reitzell McCoy Linton , sister-in-law Teresa Reitzell, and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Peggy was born in Clarks, Louisiana on June 15, 1937. She graduated from Caldwell Parish High School in 1955. She was a stay at home mom, owned a fabric store, did bookkeeping and worked at South Texas Nuclear Plant.
