son of Jonathan & Maria (McKenrick) Ingram
-------------------
Oscar Thomas Ingram, son of Maria Ingram (nee McKenrick) and Jonathan Ingram passed away June 26, 2020 at the age of 3 years old. His mother ushered him into his father’s hands on June 3, 2017 and from that moment, until his tragic passing, he filled the world with light, laughter and love.

He adored, and was adored by, his loving sister Hannah Mae Ingram (age 6). They were always by each other’s side, digging for worms and bugs, painting each other’s faces with markers, and perfecting the art of bickering; but even in the throes of sibling combat, the irrevocable love that defined their relationship was clear. He loved his Papa, David McKenrick, and Grandma, Anna McKenrick, and they deeply loved him. Papa shepherded him around the City, showing him off, and filled his little life with innumerable experiences of joy and laughter. Grandma played with him eye to eye and heart to heart, and they passed love between each other in an endless circle. He deeply loved, and was loved by, his great-grandmother Shirley McKenrick. In his weekly whirlwind tours of Cincinnati, he often visited her and her friends, the “ladies”, at the Barrington of Oakley retirement community. He filled their hearts with youthful joy. Oscar exploded into joyous laughter each time his Big Nanna, Ruby Ingram-Wall, came into town leading a legion of aunts and cousins. They all bounced around the house like electrons, each one showing Oscar that he was theirs, and they were his. On those days he went to bed exhausted and completely happy. Oscar was also cherished in his community, made up of his beloved aunts and uncles, close friends, and the children he shared his life with. They each added, in ways big and small, to the absolute truth of his life: Oscar loved and was loved.
