Catherine Fay Chris Carter was born on June 11, 1965 to Carrie Carter in York, Alabama. Catherine departed this life and peacefully gained her wings at 7:55PM on June 22, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Catherine attended Urbana Schools and graduated from Urbana High school, the Class of 1983. She was employed at Arby's for 27 years. Her favorite past-time included playing bingo, playing cards and spending time with close family and friends. Her most used phrase was "I bet I don't!"

She leaves to cherish her most prized possessions, two children, Kaylon Carter and Nola Smith; brother, Willie Carter and 4 sisters, Pearl Gray, Cassie Vogel, Joyce Overstreet and Samantha Carter. She also leaves to cherish her loving memory 8 grandchildren.

Catherine was preceded in death by one sister, Indea Carter Dorsey

Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Urbana.
