Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins for Edward Thomas Kennedy Sr., 76 of Taylorsville, who passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg.
Reverend Tommy Shields will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Mr. Kennedy was born on December 28, 1943 in Taylorsville, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Mr. Kennedy retired from the Mississippi State Department of Rehabilitation as an engineer. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Taylorsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Allen Kennedy Jr. and Hilda Sue Ruffin Kennedy; and his brother, Charles Allen Kennedy III.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-years, Yolanda Rawls Kennedy of Taylorsville; one son, Edward Thomas "Tom" Kennedy Jr., and his wife, Lori of Taylorsville; one daughter, Kimberly Kennedy Glisson, and her husband, Michael of Petal; two granddaughters, Anna Elizabeth Kennedy and Emma Catherine Kennedy; two sisters, Karen Johnson of Oxford and Amy Cox of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
