Richard was born on September 12, 1942 in Morris, IL a son of Vernon and Mildred (Christensen) Vaughn. Surviving are three brothers: Jim Vaughn of Willard MO; Alan (Kathy) Vaughn and Raymond Vaughn of Dwight; three sisters: Dorothy (Skip) Hahn of Dwight, IL; Margaret Bormet (Jim Breeden) of Loda, IL and Elizabeth (Don) Elsey of Dwight, IL and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother Edward Vaughn; sisters in law Judy Vaughn and Sue Vaughn; brother in law Glenn Bormet and two nieces.
Richard attended Dwight Schools and was employed by Caterpillar, Joliet, IL; Heritage Health, Dwight, IL and the Village of Dwight. He served our country in the US Air Force.
