Robert I. Bachrach, 78, of Kailua, a retired pilot with Aloha Airlines, died Saturday in Kailua. He was a World War II veteran and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart and Air Medal. Born in Scranton, Pa., he is survived by wife Natalie C.; son Robert R.; stepdaughter Mary A. McDermott; and a grandson. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Kaneohe Yacht Club. Scattering of ashes to follow. Casual attire.
