Dorothy M. (Arnold) McCumbers Ellingson, 94, passed into the arms of the Lord on June 22, 2020. She was born May 14, 1926 in Clay County, WV to late parents Charles and Blanche (Groggs) Arnold. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida where she lived during the winters, and was a loving mother. She was also employed as a waitress at the Tallmadge Buffet in Akron.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert McCumbers, and second spouse, Frederick Ellingson; 8 siblings; and grandson, Frederick Leasure. She is survived by her children, Jimmie (Carol) McCumbers, Connie (Don) Edens and Denzil McCumbers; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation Friday, June 26 from 11am-1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service at 1pm followed by interment at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
