Joy E. Dunn, 78 of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2020 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room.

Joy was born in Malta, Ohio on November 10, 1941. She is the daughter of the late Gene and Gertrude (Buckley) Trimper. She worked for many years at Malta Windows, she was a member of the Coburn United Methodist Church in Zanesville and she spent many hours volunteering at Christ Table and as a Volunteer Grandparent at Careytown Child Care.

Joy is survived by her son, James R. Dunn Jr.; her daughter, Debra Knowlden; her grandchildren, Dustin Wilson, Khoury Gardner, Whitley Cowan; her great grandchildren, Dystney Gardner and Tayleiah Harris.

In addition to her parents, Joy is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Dunn Sr. and her two sisters, Sonya Duff and Donna Mills.

In keeping with her wishes a cremation will take place and no services will be observed at this time.
