Candy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics and Marketing from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. After working a few years as a buyer for Castnor Knott, she began to pursue art. Her watercolor paintings mostly consist of animals and flowers and tend to be of a tropical flavor. She, also, spent years traveling the south and eastern coast as a craft show vendor, the last seven of which her dear friend, Ish Nash was her faithful helper.
A memorial service was held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Home, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. A brief second Memorial Scattering was held at the Wilson Family Farm, 4869 Smiley Road, Chapel Hill, TN 37034, Sunday, November 26th at 3 P.M.
