Pedro "Pete" Vargas July 28, 1931 - July 19, 2019

Pedro "Pete" Vargas, of Ozona Texas, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the age of 87.
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pete was born July 28, 1931 to Pedro and Romanita Vargas. Pete married his wife, Phyllis on March 23, 1961 and together they had and raised their twin girls, Vivian and Valerie.

Pete joined the United States Air Force and after 21 years of service to our country he retired. He worked for the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge Tennessee and retired after 20 years.

Pete was a caring and loving person. Loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. Loved and respected by all he had known. He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and devoted Oak Ridge Wildcats fan and a proud fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Pete enjoyed spending time out at the golf course teeing off with friends and spending time with his love Phyllis.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis Vargas and his daughters Vivian and Valerie Vargas of Oak Ridge Tennessee and grand-dog Bella Blu Vargas. His sisters Rafela Perez (Romeo), Alma Longoria (Gabriel Sr.), Mickey Arredondo (Raul), Alda DeHoyos (Thomas), and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pedro was preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Romanita Vargas and his brother Samuel Vargas.

His daughters would like to thank the Crockett County Care Center for the love and care they provided to their father. They would like to thank the DeHoyos family for everything they have done for their father and his sisters for being by his side at his time of departure.
