After Dorothea's death in 1845, Heinrich married Mary Schaefer (1823-1895) on February 27, 1851.
Heinrich died in April 1854. Soon after his death, his wife Mary, left the orphaned children (all under the age of 17) and returned to live with her father, Henry/Heinrich Schaefer. A surrogate court document (April 1854) shows that Jacob Stoltz and Adam Becker were appointed guardians of the children.
