Douglas M. Nichols age 47, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie (Jorge) Galvez, Ashley (Thomas) McGreevy and Hayley 'Boo' Nichols; mother, Connie (Anthony) Miller; father, Wayne (Cynthia) Nichols; grandchildren, Fernando, Mia and Leonardo Galvez, Aiyla, Wyatt and Amelia McGreevy; brothers, Wayne Anthony (Kathy) Nichols and Noah Nichols; sister, Kristy Martin; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Nichols; daughter, Kourtney Stone and grandparents, Wayne and Violet Nichols.

Doug was born June 18, 1973 in Chicago Heights, IL and attended Crete-Monee High School. He was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 73 Chicago, IL. Doug loved music, barbeque, playing corn hole, attending all festivals, all kinds of women and the Chicago White Sox and Da Bears.

Doug was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 4:00-8 :00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN.
