He graduated from Cartersville High School in 1973, and from West Georgia College in Carrollton, GA in 1977, where he earned his degree in Accounting, and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He worked for Enterprise Oil Company for over 25 years in Cartersville, Lance Oil Company in Cartersville, and Specialty Finishes in Vinings. He was a member of his community and served as Past President of the Cartersville Exchange Club. He was also a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he served on many youth committees, and youth mission trips. He was a coach for many years in the Cartersville Little League and the Cartersville Recreation Department in baseball, basketball, and girl’s softball. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Woodrow and Doris Nell Cagle*; father-in-law, Arthur Donahue; and mother-in-law, Cheney Donahue. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marty Donahue Cagle; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Sarahann Cagle, Manlius, NY; daughter, Ally Cagle, Conyers, GA; two granddaughters, Jacey and Lily Cagle; and sister and her husband, Debbie and Bill Johnson, Brentwood, TN; brother-in-law, Al Donahue, and his wife, Kathy, Rome, GA; sister-in-law, Trudy Green, Powder Springs, GA; sister-in-law, Missy Schmidt, and her husband, Walt, Newnan, GA.
