Obituary of Johnny R. Bolin
Funeral services for Mr. Johnny R. Bolin are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Traylor officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 PM - 2 PM service time.

Mr. Bolin passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of seventy-six. He grew up in Jones, Louisiana on the Naff farm and he later farmed and then became a merchant. Mr. Bolin served his country in the United States National Guard for six years. He was a great story teller and liked to make people laugh. Mr. Bolin loved music, horses and particularly the people of McGinty.

He is survived by his children, Laura Woods of New York, Jerry Bolin of Shreveport, Jamie Bolin of Bastrop, Kimberly Parfait and husband Chris of Houma, and Misty Sandifer of Calhoun; siblings, Janet Bunch, Mary Ann Wilson, Betty Gunter, Lynn Trahan, Glenn Bolin and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Bolin is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Bolin and Celia Del Rio; daughters, Quin Bolin, Amanda Bolin; great granddaughter, Gabrielle Griffin; and nephew, Jimmy Wilson.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Randy Haynes, Leland Pruitt, Jimmy Doles, Derl Johnson, Mike Hudolin, Don Doles, David Chesney and Charles Cook.
