Marie Ferguson (Rein), age 82, of Greenville, WI passed away on November 25, 2018 at Brewster Village in Appleton, WI. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, MN with Rev. Levi Bollerud officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. The Houseman Funeral Home of Canby is entrusted with the arrangements.

Marie was born to Carl and Florence Rein in Canby, MN, on June 23,1936. She was raised along with her two sisters in Minnesota. Marie worked for Dr. Roger Ostroot, DDS in Canby as his Dental Assistant for many years. Marie married Gene Ferguson on December 5, 1965. Together they had a son, Tim, and they have lived in Wisconsin for almost 50 years. Marie was an incredibly talented decorator and took great pride in decorating her home. She also enjoyed helping family to decorate for baby showers, birthday parties, graduations and all other special occasions. Heaven needed a new decorator in time for Christmas and the Lord called Marie home.

Marie is survived by her husband, Gene Ferguson, her son, Tim and his wife Stacie Ferguson of Dale, WI, her grandchildren, Claire, Ellie and Olivia. Her nieces Cyndi Lambert (Mark), Dawn Recine (Jonny) and nephews, Steven and Jeff Ufkin. Her brother-in-law Jim Ferguson (Cheryl), nieces Diane Sroka (Steve) and Kristi Van Laere (Bruce) and nephew John Ferguson. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and she will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

Marie was proceeded in death by her parents Carl and Florence Rein, her sisters Carole Ufkin and Joyce Rein, infant sister Marilyn, nephew Gary Ferguson, niece Kathy Ferguson and brother-in-law Dennis Ferguson.

The family would like to give special thanks to the caring staff of Cherry Meadows Hospice and Brewster Village in Appleton, WI who provided much comfort in her final days.
